Northern VA, Apr. 2019 – TIME Systems representatives, pictured above, were proud to help sponsor the first inaugural Derrick R. Wood Mayor’s Ball in the town of Dumfries, VA this past Saturday night, April 13th. Local representatives, supervisors, and board members gathered to present awards and recognitions to community members and businesses. Notable among the honored included Clyde and Gwen Washington, named Dumfries Living Legends for a lifetime of service; Albert Brooks, the 2019 Unsung Hero for selfless service; and Angela Savage, named Elementary Teacher of the Year.

Ticket proceeds raised over $15,000 in scholarships for Dumfries students. The ball included live entertainment, dinner, dancing, and remarks from Mayor Wood. Local businesses provided event space and catering, and community members Hon. Michael and Dr. Bernadine Futrell supplied a lively atmosphere, extolling the praises of both the presenters and recipients.
