Lonnie Bellamy, Jr., President and CEO of TIME Systems, delivered an engaging and informative message for Future Kings, shedding light on the importance of obtaining certifications as early as possible during high school, enabling students to graduate with industry-recognized and competitive certifications, as well as giving them a head start on years of experience. The session was designed to inspire and inform the student participants about the abundant career opportunities available in these sectors, providing a road map for success that many of the attendees had not previously considered possible. Through his insight and experience, Mr. Bellamy demystified the process of obtaining security clearances, a crucial step for many roles within these fields, offering practical advice and tips for navigating these often-complex procedures. Both Future Kings and TIME Systems believe that mentorship from industry leaders positions youth for success in STEM careers and equips each participant with the skills needed to maximize their career opportunities and community impact.
Future Kings offers innovative programs in Cybersecurity, Biomedical Sciences, Custom Engineering, and Computer Game Design, providing hands-on experiences and college-level education to grades 6-12. Through these programs, Future Kings aims to close the technology and engineering gap for African American and Hispanic men, creating pathways to success in emerging technologies.
